During a gala for the West End musical based on the 2006 film, she was asked about their similarities. Currently, the West End musical at the Dominion Theatre stars Vanessa Williams as Miranda Priestly. This production, which debuted in Chicago in 2022, features music by Elton John and lyrics by Shaina Taub and Mark Sonnenblick.
