Hotel burns in France’s Courchevel resort, 83 evacuated

On Tuesday, in a five-star hotel in an expensive alpine ski Resort of Courchevel. The firefighting team performed a tremendous job and successfully evacuated eight occupants from the hotel.
The firefighting team was doing their best to extinguish the fire. The good thing is that they have not reported casualties in the incident.
Lieutenant-Colonel Emmanuel Viaud of the Savoie Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) shared the updates with AFP that the fire, origin of which remains undecided, was spreading through the roof of the building with a substantial risk, and many neighboring buildings could be affected by the blaze.
According to the official, the fire incident occurred at 7:00 pm (1800 GMT), and firefighters quickly responded to evacuate 83 guests from the Grandes Alpes hotel in the Courchevel 1850 resort, with no casualties reported. Hotel Managers assured that everyone could be rescued by the Firefighting team.
Please note that a similar incident was reported in Karachi when a famous shopping plaza caught fire; no swift rescue system was available over there, and the whole plaza fell down due to the widespread fire. As a result, huge financial and human losses were reported.
Hats off to the firefighters and the Management of the city where the resort is located for developing a mechanism to reduce the risk of financial and human loss resulting from fire incidents.
