Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi: After two months, Former Prime Minister Imran Khan will be taken to the Islamabad Model Jail.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has updated that the Model Jail in Islamabad is under construction and shall be completed within a period of two months, then PTI founder and Former Prime Minister Imran Khan will be shifted to the Islamabad Model Jail.


Mohsin Naqvi was talking to the media during his visit to under construction Islamabad Model Jail. Naqvi revealed that all our facilities were being provided to former Prime Minister Imran Khan. He further added that he has been sentenced by the courts, and now he will be shifted to a new jail.
On the spot, he also visited the new trainee officer’s hostel at the national police academy on Friday. The intent of the visit is to review progress on major security and training infrastructure projects.

Officials have briefed the Minister that the Islamabad jail project has been pending for last Fifteen (15) years since its launch in 2011. Still eighty five percent (85%) of work is completed and it is expected to be completed in next sixty days. The facility will feature dual security walls, a digital monitoring system, and a centralized control room.
Mohsin Naqvi also visited the barracks during his visit and expressed satisfaction over the ongoing speedy and quality construction work. He stressed that establishing a modern model jail in the capital was an essential requirement for maintaining security. He has directed authorities to accelerate work through double-shift operations.
Mohsin also examined the model room of under construction new hostel. This hostel is being built for under-training ASPs,. He has also issued key instructions to ensure high-standard residential facility for police officers. He noted that heightened infrastructure at the National Police Academy will raise the quality of police training nationwide.
Inspector General Ali Nasir Rizvi, Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa, FIA Director General Dr Usman Anwar, and other senior officials were also present during the visit.
