Nine killed in at US consulate in Karachi as pro-Iran protests erupt across Pakistan

Residents of Karachi have started protesting today at the US Consulate, and during the protest, it has been reported that nine protestors have been killed, a rescue service spokesman told AFP.
Muhammad Amin, a spokesman for the Edhi Foundation rescue service, updated that they have moved at least nine dead bodies from the US Consulate to Karachi’s civil hospitals, while 20 others were injured in the consulate incident and have bullet wounds.
The protest has taken place after the US-Israel strikes on Iran. Hundreds of people moved forward towards the US Consulate to storm there.
A group of youngsters have attempt to climb over the main gate and gained access to the main driveway of the consulate office and broken the windows. Police was active on the site, and they used tear gas to disperse the protesters.
As per the video gone viral on social media, showing that youngsters have smashed the windows of the consulate office, and a flag can be seen in the compound.


Protesters were chanting to remain united, as no power can stop them.
They were going to the United States consulate set on fire in Karachi as revenge for killing their leader, another protester said as he filmed others attempting to start a fire.
In different cities of Pakistan, thousands of people are also taking to the streets in the eastern city of Lahore and in the northern city of Skardu. A strong demonstration was also expected in the afternoon near the diplomatic enclave housing the US embassy in Islamabad.
Usama Malik, a TV channel’s reporter reported earlier today that tensions heightened in Karachi on Sunday morning as violent marches erupted against recent US-Israel strikes targeting Iran, ending in a dramatic breach attempt at the US Consulate.

Huge crowds of protestors gathered around the embassy office, and some pushed open the gates in an effort to enter the compound.
police had begun using tear gas and other crowd-control measures in an attempt to disperse the protesters, city authorities confirmed that.
Rangers and other Law enforcement officers engaged the demonstrators to prevent further intrusion into the embassy premises.
Key routes, including the road from Sultanabad to Mai Kolachi, have been closed to traffic due to the unrest caused significant disruption across the city.


Traffic has been diverted from Jinnah Bridge toward I.I. Chundrigar Road to ease congestion and maintain smooth traffic flow.
The demonstration emphasizes the intensity of public annoyance in Karachi following international military actions, highlighting the challenge authorities face in balancing security with citizens’ right to protest.
